Zale (band)
Zale was an American indie rock band formed in Chapel Hill, North Carolina in the late 1990s. The band consisted primarily of frontwoman Zale Strickland (vocals, guitar), along with rotating members on drums, bass, and other instruments. Known for Strickland's distinctive vocals and introspective lyrics, Zale released several EPs and albums throughout the early 2000s. Their music often explored themes of vulnerability, personal struggles, and relationships, set against a backdrop of melodic, guitar-driven indie rock. While they garnered a dedicated following and critical acclaim within the indie music scene, Zale ultimately disbanded in the mid-2000s.
