Zach Wamp
Zach Wamp (born October 28, 1957) is an American politician and businessman from Tennessee. He served as a U.S. Representative for Tennessee's 3rd congressional district from 1995 to 2011. A member of the Republican Party, Wamp represented a district encompassing much of southeastern Tennessee, including Chattanooga.
During his time in Congress, Wamp served on several committees, including the House Appropriations Committee. He focused on issues such as fiscal conservatism, national security, and support for veterans. Wamp was known for his conservative voting record and advocacy for limited government.
Prior to his career in Congress, Wamp worked in real estate and small business. After leaving Congress, he has been involved in business consulting and public policy advocacy. He also unsuccessfully ran for Governor of Tennessee in 2010.
