William O'Brien (Fine Gael politician)
William O'Brien is an Irish Fine Gael politician who has served as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Cork East constituency since the 2016 general election.
O'Brien was born and raised in Mitchelstown, County Cork. Prior to entering national politics, he was a member of Cork County Council, representing the Fermoy local electoral area.
He was first elected to Dáil Éireann in 2016, succeeding Tom Barry of Fine Gael. O'Brien has served on various Oireachtas committees, including those focused on transport, communications, climate action, and agriculture. He has been a vocal advocate for rural development and infrastructure improvements in County Cork.
