Voyager (Australian band)

Voyager is an Australian progressive metal band from Perth, Western Australia, formed in 1999. The band is known for its unique blend of progressive metal, djent, and pop elements, often incorporating synthesizers and vibrant soundscapes into their music.

Voyager has released several studio albums, including Element V (2003), uniVers (2007), I Am the Revolution (2009), The Meaning of I (2011), V (2014), Ghost Mile (2017), and Colours (2020). Their music often explores themes of introspection, societal commentary, and personal experiences.

The band’s lineup has evolved over time. As of 2024, the band consists of Danny Estrin (vocals, keytar), Simone Dow (guitars), Scott Kay (guitars), Ashley Doodkorte (drums), and Alex Canion (bass).

Voyager has toured extensively, both nationally and internationally, performing at various festivals and supporting prominent acts in the progressive metal scene. They are noted for their energetic live performances and distinctive visual style.

In 2023, Voyager represented Australia in the Eurovision Song Contest with their song "Promise," reaching the Grand Final and finishing in ninth place. Their participation in Eurovision significantly raised their international profile and broadened their fanbase.
