Vettius Gratus (consul 250)
Vettius Gratus was a Roman senator who served as consul ordinarius in 250 AD alongside the Emperor Decius. Very little is known about his life and career prior to his consulship. His tenure as consul coincided with a period of intense persecution of Christians under Decius's reign, and the wider political instability and military pressures facing the Roman Empire. The lack of readily available information beyond his consulship makes it difficult to ascertain much else about his life or impact on Roman history. His name appears primarily in consular lists and inscriptions referencing the year of his consulship.
