Válber (footballer, born 1967)
Válber Costa dos Santos, commonly known as Válber (born December 6, 1967), is a retired Brazilian footballer who played as a central defender.
Válber had a long and successful career, primarily in Brazil. He is best known for his time playing for several prominent Brazilian clubs, including Flamengo, São Paulo, and Internacional. He was known for his strong defensive abilities, aerial prowess, and leadership qualities.
During his time at Flamengo, Válber was a key member of the squad that achieved significant success in the early 1990s, including winning the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A in 1992. He also had a spell in Japan with Yokohama Flügels. After leaving Yokohama Flügels, Válber returned to Brazil, playing for other clubs such as Cruzeiro.
