Tyler State Park (Pennsylvania)

Tyler State Park is a Pennsylvania state park encompassing 1,711 acres (692 ha) in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States. The park is bisected by Neshaminy Creek and is known for its gently rolling hills, woodlands, and open fields. Located near Richboro, Newtown, and Holland, it is a popular destination for outdoor recreation in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

The park's history dates back to the colonial era, with the land having been primarily used for agriculture. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania acquired the land in the 1960s and transformed it into a state park, which officially opened to the public in 1974. Several historic buildings and stone structures remain on the property, remnants of its agricultural past.

Tyler State Park offers a wide range of recreational activities, including hiking, biking, horseback riding, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and picnicking. There are over 25 miles of paved and unpaved trails that wind through the park's diverse terrain. Neshaminy Creek provides opportunities for fishing and boating, although swimming is not permitted. The park also features picnic areas, playgrounds, and a disc golf course.

The park is open year-round and offers various educational programs and interpretive events throughout the year. Hunting is permitted in designated areas during specific seasons, in accordance with Pennsylvania Game Commission regulations. The park also provides habitat for a variety of wildlife, including deer, foxes, birds, and amphibians.
