Thomas Zander (wrestler)

Thomas Zander (born August 25, 1967) is a German Greco-Roman wrestler. He competed in four Olympic Games, winning a bronze medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.

Zander wrestled primarily in the 82 kg and 90 kg weight classes. He began his wrestling career in Aalen, Germany, and represented several wrestling clubs throughout his career. He also achieved success at the World Championships, winning a silver medal in 1995 and a bronze medal in 1989. He further distinguished himself with multiple medals at the European Championships. Known for his strength and technical proficiency, Zander was a prominent figure in German wrestling for over a decade. After retiring from competition, he remained involved in the sport, often coaching and mentoring young wrestlers.
