The Turning (album)
The Turning is a studio album by American singer-songwriter Chris Difford, released in 2003. It is his second solo album, following I Didn't Get There (1984). The album explores themes of relationships, loss, and reflection, often employing Difford's signature lyrical wit and poignant storytelling. While not a commercial success, The Turning was critically well-received, praised for its mature songwriting and intimate atmosphere. It features contributions from other musicians but maintains Difford's distinctive vocal style and songwriting perspective. The album was released on Rykodisc and has generally been considered a more personal and introspective work compared to Difford's work with Squeeze.
