The Predators (Japanese band)

The Predators are a Japanese rock band formed in 2005. The band is composed of Sawao Yamanaka (vocals, guitar) from the band The Pillows, Jiro (bass) from GLAY, and Shinpei Nakayama (drums) from Straightener.

The Predators are known for their energetic live performances and a sound that blends elements of punk rock, alternative rock, and hard rock. Their music typically features catchy melodies, powerful instrumentation, and Yamanaka's distinctive vocals.

The band has released several albums and EPs throughout their career, including Hunting!!! (2006), Kiba to Toge (2008), This World (2010), Monster in Your Closet (2017), and Wild Born (2023). They have also performed at various music festivals in Japan.

Despite the members' commitments to their respective main bands, The Predators remain an active project, periodically releasing new music and touring.
