Take Control (horse)
Take Control was an American Thoroughbred racehorse, foaled in 2007. Bred in Kentucky, he was a chestnut gelding sired by A.P. Indy out of the mare Forest Heiress, who was in turn sired by Forest Wildcat.
Take Control was primarily known for his performances in allowance and claiming races. He demonstrated moderate racing ability throughout his career, achieving several wins and placings in these lower-level competitions. While he did not compete in major graded stakes races, he maintained a consistent presence on the track for several years.
His racing career spanned multiple years and locations, primarily on the East Coast of the United States. Take Control's ownership and training changed hands several times during his career. His final recorded race was in 2014.
His lifetime earnings were in the lower six-figure range. He is not known to have had a significant impact on the breed as he was a gelding and therefore could not be used for breeding purposes.
