Swish (album)
Swish was the working title of an unreleased studio album by American rapper and producer Kanye West. Initially announced in 2015, Swish was intended as the follow-up to West's 2013 album, Yeezus.
Throughout 2015 and early 2016, West released several tracks that were rumored to be part of the Swish project, including "Only One," "FourFiveSeconds," "All Day," and "Real Friends." The album underwent numerous name changes and revisions.
In January 2016, West announced that the album's title had been changed to Waves. However, following some controversy and discussion, he ultimately changed the title again to The Life of Pablo, which was released in February 2016.
While Swish as a specific album never materialized, many of the tracks and ideas associated with it contributed to the final form of The Life of Pablo. The Swish era is considered a period of intense creative exploration and evolution for West, ultimately shaping the direction of his subsequent musical output. The unreleased tracks and different versions of songs circulated online remain of interest to fans and music historians studying West's creative process.
