St. Joseph High School (Westchester, Illinois)

St. Joseph High School was a co-educational, Catholic high school located in Westchester, Illinois. Operated by the De La Salle Christian Brothers, it served students primarily from the western suburbs of Chicago. The school offered a college-preparatory curriculum and emphasized faith-based education. St. Joseph's athletic teams were known as the Chargers. Notable for its basketball program, which produced several Division I college players and NBA professionals, the school ultimately closed its doors in 2021 due to declining enrollment and financial difficulties. Its closure marked the end of over 60 years of operation in the community.
