Spellbound (2024 film)

Spellbound is an upcoming animated musical fantasy film directed by Vicky Jenson and produced by Skydance Animation. It is distributed by Apple Original Films and is scheduled for release on Apple TV+ in 2024.

The film tells the story of Princess Ellian, a young woman who must use her magical powers to defend her family and the kingdom of Lumbria from dark forces threatening to destroy it. Determined to break the spell that has divided her kingdom, Ellian embarks on a quest, teaming up with several allies along the way.

The voice cast includes Rachel Zegler as Princess Ellian, Nicole Kidman as Queen Ellsmere, Javier Bardem as King Falkan, John Lithgow as Minister Bolinar, Jenifer Lewis as Minister Nazara Pragma, Nathan Lane as Orm, and Tituss Burgess as Goblet.

Spellbound features original songs written by Alan Menken with lyrics by Glenn Slater. The film's screenplay is credited to Lauren Hynek, Elizabeth Martin, and Linda Woolverton.
