Sebastiaan Matheus Sigismund de Ranitz (1901–1987)
Sebastiaan Matheus Sigismund de Ranitz (1901–1987) was a Dutch artist, primarily known for his paintings, watercolors, and drawings. Born in The Hague, Netherlands, he pursued artistic training at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague. His work often depicted landscapes, cityscapes, and still lifes. De Ranitz's style is generally characterized as realist, with influences from impressionism evident in his use of light and color. He exhibited his work throughout the Netherlands and his pieces are held in several private and public collections. He was a member of various artist societies during his lifetime.
