Robert Howard (bishop)
Robert Howard (1938-2024) was an Irish Anglican bishop. He served as the Bishop of Killala and Achonry from 1995 to 2008.
Born in Dublin, Howard was educated at Trinity College Dublin and ordained a priest in 1963. He served in various parishes in Ireland before being appointed Archdeacon of Tuam in 1988.
In 1995, he was elected Bishop of Killala and Achonry. During his episcopate, he focused on rural ministry and ecumenical relations. He retired in 2008 and was succeeded by Patrick Rooke.
