Robert Foster (hurdler)

Robert Foster (born July 28, 1967) is a former Jamaican track and field athlete who specialized in the 110 metres hurdles. He is best known for winning a bronze medal at the 1993 World Championships in Athletics in Stuttgart, Germany.

Foster represented Jamaica at three Olympic Games: 1988 in Seoul, 1992 in Barcelona, and 1996 in Atlanta. While he did not medal at any of the Olympic Games, he consistently performed at a high level, making it to the semi-finals on multiple occasions.

Throughout his career, Foster was a consistent competitor on the international circuit, participating in numerous Grand Prix and other major athletics meetings. His personal best time in the 110 metres hurdles is 13.22 seconds. He was a significant figure in Jamaican athletics during the 1990s, helping to establish the country's strong presence in the sprint hurdles. After retiring from competition, he has remained involved in athletics, often contributing to coaching and development programs.
