Rita La Roy
Rita La Roy (born Marguerite Obijiski, October 2, 1901 – February 17, 1978) was an American actress who primarily appeared in silent films and early sound films. Her career spanned the 1920s and early 1930s.
La Roy began her career as a dancer and vaudeville performer before transitioning to film. She was known for her beauty and often played glamorous or comedic roles. While she appeared in a number of films, she is not considered a major star of the silent era.
Some of her notable films include The Gingham Girl (1927) and Broadway Daddies (1928). With the advent of sound film, La Roy's career declined, and she made fewer appearances. She largely retired from acting in the early 1930s.
