Richard Gardiner (Irish priest)

Richard Gardiner was an Irish Roman Catholic priest who served as the President of St Patrick's College, Maynooth, from 1834 to 1835. Very little is known about his life prior to and following his brief tenure at Maynooth. His presidency followed the death of Rev. Bartholomew Crotty and preceded the long tenure of Rev. Michael Slattery. Gardiner's administration at Maynooth occurred during a period of significant political and religious change in Ireland. Further research is needed to fully understand his contributions and impact on the college.
