Prince Leopold (horse)

Prince Leopold was a British Thoroughbred racehorse that achieved notable success in the late 19th century. He was foaled in 1876 and owned by Mr. H. Baltazzi.

While not a Triple Crown winner, Prince Leopold achieved significant victories in prestigious races of his time. He notably won the 1879 St. Leger Stakes at Doncaster, a classic race for three-year-old colts and fillies. This victory established him as a leading stayer of his generation.
