Novi Vrh
Novi Vrh (pronounced [ˈnɔːʋi ˈʋərx]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Tržič in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. It is located in the foothills of the Karawanks mountain range. The name "Novi Vrh" literally translates to "New Peak" or "New Summit" in Slovene.
Historically, the settlement's economy was primarily based on agriculture and forestry, although its proximity to Tržič provides some residents with opportunities for employment in the town. The area is characterized by dispersed settlements and a rural landscape. Tourism, especially hiking and mountain biking, is becoming an increasingly important part of the local economy due to the nearby mountains.
The village is part of the local community (krajevna skupnost) of Kovor. Access to Novi Vrh is primarily via local roads branching off from the main roads connecting Tržič with the surrounding villages.
