Monroe station (CTA Red Line)

Monroe station is a rapid transit station on the Chicago Transit Authority's (CTA) Red Line. It is located in the Loop, Chicago's central business district, at 18 South State Street, under Monroe Street. The station is situated directly below the landmark Palmer House Hilton hotel.

The station has two side platforms serving trains in each direction (north and south). Access to the platforms is provided by stairs, escalators, and elevators, making the station ADA accessible. The station's design is utilitarian, with a focus on functionality and passenger flow.

Monroe station provides convenient access to numerous downtown attractions, including Millennium Park, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Theater District.
