Måvatn
Måvatn is a lake located in Nordland county, Norway. It sits within the municipality of Saltdal, east of the E6 highway and approximately 20 kilometers south of the administrative center of Rognan. Måvatn is known for its distinctive turquoise color, a result of glacial silt being deposited into the water from surrounding glaciers and snowfields. This glacial flour reflects sunlight in a way that creates the striking color. The lake is relatively shallow and typically remains cold throughout the year.
