Lifelines (TV series)
Lifelines is a Canadian medical drama television series that aired on CBC Television from 1996 to 1997. The series followed the professional and personal lives of a group of paramedics and doctors working for the fictional St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto. The show aimed for realism, depicting the often stressful and emotionally taxing environment of emergency medical services. Recurring themes included the ethical dilemmas faced by medical professionals, the impact of trauma on individuals, and the complexities of relationships within the high-pressure environment of a hospital. The cast included a mix of established and emerging Canadian actors. Despite aiming for a realistic portrayal of medical life, Lifelines did not achieve high ratings and was cancelled after two seasons. The series has subsequently aired in syndication on various networks.
