Leonidas Hubbard (politician)
Leonidas Hubbard (born October 26, 1823, in Hawley, Massachusetts; died March 28, 1895, in Racine, Wisconsin) was an American politician and lawyer. He served in the Wisconsin State Assembly and the Wisconsin State Senate.
Hubbard moved to Wisconsin in 1848 and settled in Racine. He was a prominent figure in the Republican Party in Wisconsin and held several local and state offices. He served in the Wisconsin State Assembly in 1862 and 1863, representing Racine County. He subsequently served in the Wisconsin State Senate from 1864 to 1865, representing the 10th District.
Hubbard was a successful lawyer and was known for his dedication to public service. His contributions to Wisconsin politics were significant during the Civil War era. He is buried in Mound Cemetery in Racine, Wisconsin.
