Karl Graf (rowing)
Karl Graf (born 1948) is a German rowing coach who has achieved significant success in international rowing. He is best known for his long tenure as the head coach of the German men's eight (Achter), a position he held from 1990 to 2008.
Graf's coaching philosophy emphasized a combination of rigorous physical training, technical precision, and team cohesion. Under his leadership, the German eight became a dominant force in international rowing, winning numerous World Championship titles and Olympic medals. Notable achievements include gold at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, and the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
