Joseph Mason (Canadian politician)
Joseph Mason (born circa 1831, died 1917) was a Canadian farmer and politician. He served as a Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, representing Algoma from 1894 to 1898. Mason was a member of the Patrons of Industry political organization, which advocated for farmers' interests. He won election in the 1894 Ontario general election but was defeated in the 1898 election. Prior to his parliamentary career, Mason was a Reeve in the township of Thessalon in the Algoma District. He farmed near Thessalon and was a prominent member of the local agricultural community.
