John McNulty (bishop)
John McNulty (1925-2006) was an Irish Roman Catholic bishop.
Born in Ballyshannon, County Donegal, Ireland, on July 15, 1925, McNulty was ordained a priest on June 18, 1950, for the Diocese of Raphoe.
He was appointed Bishop of Nottingham in England on December 2, 1974, and consecrated on January 29, 1975. He served in this role until his resignation on July 8, 2000.
McNulty was known for his pastoral concern, particularly for the poor and marginalized. He also played an active role in ecumenical relations.
He died on December 8, 2006.
