John Darby (printer)
John Darby (died 1733) was a London printer active during the late 17th and early 18th centuries. He is principally known for printing works by Jonathan Swift and Alexander Pope, playing a significant role in disseminating their satirical and political writings. Darby inherited his printing business from his father and continued to operate it from Bartholomew Close. He was a prominent figure in the London printing trade and his work contributed to the development of English literature and political discourse. His name is frequently found on the title pages of important books of the period.
