John Brough (English footballer)

John Brough (born 22 January 1973) is an English former professional footballer who played as a defender.

Brough began his career at Coventry City, progressing through their youth system, but did not make a first-team appearance for the Sky Blues. He then moved to Port Vale in 1994, where he made over 150 appearances in the Football League and FA Cup. He was a key part of the Port Vale side that won the Football League Trophy in 1993 and the Division Two title in 1994.

Following his time at Port Vale, Brough went on to play for several other clubs, including Hereford United, Telford United, and Worcester City. He had a brief spell in non-league football before retiring from the game.

After retiring from professional football, Brough worked outside of the sport.
