John Anderson (footballer, born 1928)

John Anderson (born 2 December 1928) is a former Scottish professional footballer who played as a right winger.

Anderson began his career with Dundee United in 1948. He remained with the club until 1954, making over 150 appearances and scoring more than 40 goals.

In 1954, he moved to England to join Newcastle United. He played for Newcastle for four seasons, contributing to their squad but not consistently featuring in the starting eleven.

Anderson returned to Scotland in 1958, signing for Falkirk. He spent two seasons with Falkirk before retiring from professional football.

Following his retirement, Anderson maintained a connection with the sport through local amateur leagues.
