Jimmy Cochrane (footballer, born 1935)
Jimmy Cochrane (born 20 November 1935) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a centre forward.
Cochrane began his career with Dundee United, making his debut in 1954. He went on to have a successful spell at Tannadice Park, becoming a regular in the team and scoring a number of goals.
In 1961, Cochrane moved to Aberdeen. He continued his career there for several seasons, contributing to the team’s performances. After Aberdeen, he signed for Raith Rovers.
Details of his career after Raith Rovers are scarce, but it is understood he continued to play at a lower level.
Cochrane's contributions to Dundee United and Aberdeen are remembered by fans of both clubs. He was known for his strong presence in the penalty area and his goal-scoring ability.
