Jim Simpson (footballer, born 1959)

Jim Simpson (born 21 July 1959) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a defender.

Simpson began his career with Dumbarton, where he established himself as a regular first-team player. He later moved to St Mirren, where he continued to play in the Scottish Premier Division. He joined Hamilton Academical in the late 1980s. Following his spell at Hamilton, he played for Albion Rovers.
