Jenny Morris (musician)

Jenny Morris is a New Zealand-born Australian pop and rock singer-songwriter. She is best known for her solo hits "Break in the Weather", "She Has To Be Loved", "Saved Me", and "Street Life".

Morris began her music career in the late 1970s as a vocalist for the New Zealand band The Crocodiles. After The Crocodiles disbanded, she joined the Australian band QED in the early 1980s before embarking on a successful solo career.

Her debut solo album, Body and Soul, was released in 1981. It was followed by Shiver (1989), which spawned several hit singles and established her as a prominent artist in Australia and New Zealand. Her subsequent albums include Honey Child (1991), Salvation Jane (1995), Hit & Myth (2002), and Lift (2005).

Throughout her career, Morris has won numerous awards, including several ARIA Music Awards. She was appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2006 for services to music and was inducted into the New Zealand Music Hall of Fame in 2010. Beyond her solo work, she has also contributed to film soundtracks and collaborated with other artists.
