Jacob Schram (1870–1952)

Jacob Schram (1870–1952) was a Norwegian businessman and shipping magnate. He is best known for his role as Director General of the Norwegian shipping company Den Norske Amerikalinje (The Norwegian America Line), often referred to as NAL, from 1919 to 1948.

During his tenure at NAL, Schram oversaw the company's significant expansion and modernization. He navigated the company through challenging periods including the interwar years, the Great Depression, and World War II, ensuring NAL's survival and continued operation despite the immense difficulties these events presented.
