Jack Frost (politician)

Jack Frost (born c. 1942) is a former Democratic politician in the state of Texas. He is best known for his long tenure in the Texas House of Representatives, representing District 82 from 1987 to 2005.

Frost was born and raised in Texas and graduated from Texas Tech University. Before entering politics, he worked as a businessman in the agricultural sector.

During his time in the Texas House, Frost served on several committees, including Agriculture & Livestock, Appropriations, and Ways & Means. He was considered a moderate Democrat, often working across the aisle to achieve legislative goals. His legislative priorities often focused on issues affecting rural Texas, including agriculture, water resources, and economic development.

He did not seek re-election in 2004 and retired from the Texas House in January 2005. Since his retirement, Frost has remained active in his community, engaging in philanthropic endeavors.
