Jack Davis (hurdler)

Jack Davis (1930-2012) was an American track and field athlete, primarily known for his achievements as a high hurdler. He won a silver medal in the 110-meter hurdles at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki, finishing just behind Harrison Dillard. Davis also held the world record in the 120-yard high hurdles from 1956 to 1959. He was a two-time AAU champion in the 120-yard hurdles (1953 and 1956) and a three-time NCAA champion, representing the University of Southern California (USC). After his athletic career, he became a successful businessman.
