Igbariam

Igbariam is a town located in the Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria. It is situated in the Anambra North Senatorial Zone. The town is known for its agricultural activities, particularly the cultivation of rice and other crops. Igbariam is also the location of the Anambra State University, now Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam Campus, a major tertiary institution in the state. Historically, Igbariam is one of the towns in the Omabala area of Anambra State, a region known for its rich agricultural land and cultural traditions. The town has traditional leadership structures alongside modern governance systems. Its population consists primarily of Igbo people.
