Head over Heels (American TV series)
Head Over Heels is an American sitcom that aired on the United Paramount Network (UPN) during the 1997-1998 television season. The series revolves around the employees of "Head Over Heels," a Miami Beach video dating agency.
The core cast consisted of Peter Dobson as Jack Baldwin, the laid-back owner of the agency; Eva LaRue as Carmen Montoya, the pragmatic and business-minded co-owner; Patrick Bristow as Doug McNeely, the flamboyant and somewhat eccentric receptionist; and Cindy Ambuehl as Valerie Stackhouse, a bubbly and optimistic employee. Mitzi Kapture also appeared in a recurring role.
The show's humor derived primarily from the quirky personalities of the characters and the often-comical situations that arose from their attempts to match clients seeking love. Episodes typically featured the agency staff navigating the challenges of running a dating service while also dealing with their own personal lives and romantic entanglements.
Head Over Heels was cancelled after only one season due to low ratings. It is not generally considered to be a major or highly influential sitcom in television history.
