Halloween Havoc (2000)
Halloween Havoc (2000) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW) on October 29, 2000, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada. It was the twelfth and final event under the Halloween Havoc chronology.
The event is primarily remembered for its main event match between Goldberg and KroniK (Brian Adams and Bryan Clark) in a handicap match. Goldberg's apparent refusal to cooperate fully with the planned match structure led to a widely criticized and considered disappointing conclusion.
Other notable matches included Booker T defending the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Scott Steiner, and Mike Awesome challenging Ernest Miller for the WCW Commissioner position. The card also featured matches for the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship and WCW World Tag Team Championship.
The event occurred during a period of significant turmoil for WCW, marked by declining ratings, financial difficulties, and inconsistent creative direction. Halloween Havoc (2000) ultimately contributed to the perception of WCW's decline prior to its eventual acquisition by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in March 2001. The show is generally viewed negatively by fans and critics.
