Hár (crater)

Hár is a small lunar impact crater that lies on the far side of the Moon. It is located to the southwest of the larger crater Seyfert and to the east-northeast of Mandel'shtam.

Hár is a relatively young and well-defined crater, characterized by a sharp, circular rim and a bowl-shaped interior. The inner walls slope down smoothly to a small floor. There are no significant features of note within the crater. It appears relatively pristine, lacking significant erosion or modification from subsequent impacts.

The name "Hár" originates from Norse mythology. In the Prose Edda, Hár is one of the names used by Odin. The crater was officially named by the International Astronomical Union (IAU).
