Greg Grant (basketball, born 1960)

Greg Grant (born August 29, 1966) is an American former professional basketball player. He is best known for his improbable journey to the NBA, coming from a small school and having to overcome numerous obstacles to achieve his dream.

Grant played college basketball at Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey), Division III school. Despite his relative obscurity, his scoring ability and playmaking skills caught the attention of NBA scouts.

He was drafted by the Phoenix Suns in the second round (48th overall) of the 1989 NBA draft. A 6'3" point guard, Grant played for six NBA teams during his nine-year professional career: the Phoenix Suns, Charlotte Hornets, Philadelphia 76ers, Denver Nuggets, Washington Bullets, and Milwaukee Bucks.
