Allen Lynch (footballer)

Allen Lynch is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for Fitzroy and the Brisbane Bears in the Victorian Football League (VFL)/Australian Football League (AFL).

Lynch played for Fitzroy from 1984 to 1986, primarily as a defender. He was known for his strong marking ability and reliable disposal. After Fitzroy experienced financial difficulties, Lynch was delisted and subsequently joined the newly formed Brisbane Bears for their inaugural VFL season in 1987. He played a further season with the Bears before retiring from AFL football. While not a high-profile star, Lynch was considered a solid and dependable player during his time in the league. His career was relatively short but marked by his contribution to both Fitzroy and the early development of the Brisbane Bears.
