Frederick Wills (Guyana)

Frederick Hilborn Talbot Wills (1928 – 1992) was a prominent Guyanese politician, diplomat, and lawyer. He served as Guyana's Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1972 to 1978 under the government of Forbes Burnham. During his tenure as Foreign Minister, Wills played a significant role in Guyana's foreign policy, particularly within the Non-Aligned Movement and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). He was known for advocating for South-South cooperation and for Guyana's active participation in international affairs.

Beyond his role as Foreign Minister, Wills also held other ministerial positions within the Guyanese government. He was a skilled barrister and Queen's Counsel, contributing to the legal landscape of Guyana. Later in life, he served as a judge. His career spanned several decades and involved significant contributions to Guyanese politics, diplomacy, and law. He is remembered as an influential figure in Guyana's post-independence era.
