Eva Löwen
Eva Löwen (born 1951, Stockholm, Sweden; died 2011) was a Swedish sculptor and installation artist. She is known for her minimalist and abstract works, often incorporating industrial materials such as metal, glass, and concrete. Löwen's sculptures frequently explore themes of space, perception, and the relationship between the viewer and the artwork. She studied at the Gerlesborg School of Fine Art and the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. Her work has been exhibited extensively in Sweden and internationally, including at the Venice Biennale and Moderna Museet. Löwen's artistic practice is characterized by a careful consideration of form and materials, and a deliberate engagement with the surrounding architectural context. She is considered a significant figure in contemporary Swedish sculpture.
