Eric Lucas (politician)
Eric Lucas is an American politician who served as the Snohomish County Executive from 1996 to 2015. A member of the Democratic Party, Lucas oversaw the administration of Washington state's third-largest county.
Prior to becoming County Executive, Lucas served in the Washington State Legislature. He was a member of the Washington State House of Representatives from 1987 to 1991, representing the 38th legislative district. He then served in the Washington State Senate from 1991 to 1996, also representing the 38th district.
As County Executive, Lucas focused on issues such as transportation, economic development, and environmental protection. He oversaw the county's response to several major emergencies, including floods and wildfires. After leaving office, he has remained involved in local issues and organizations.
