Emeryson

Emeryson was a British Formula One constructor that participated in a single Grand Prix in 1961.

History:

The Emeryson team was founded by Paul Emery, an engineer and racing driver. Emery had previously built and raced his own cars in Formula Two. In 1961, Emeryson entered the British Grand Prix at Aintree with a car powered by a Coventry Climax engine. The car was driven by Jack Fairman.

Formula One Career:

Fairman qualified 25th out of 26 starters. During the race, Fairman retired after seven laps due to an oil leak. This was Emeryson's only Formula One entry.

After Formula One:

Following their brief Formula One foray, Paul Emery continued to be involved in motorsport, designing and building racing cars for various categories, including Formula Three. The Emeryson name, while not widely known, remains a footnote in Formula One history, representative of the small, independent constructors that occasionally appeared in the sport's early years.
