Ugljevik

Ugljevik is a town and municipality located in Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is situated in the Semberija region, near the Majevica mountain range.

The area around Ugljevik has a history dating back to ancient times. The modern town developed around the coal mine that was established in the early 20th century. During the Bosnian War (1992-1995), Ugljevik was under the control of the Army of Republika Srpska.
