Duranki (manga)
Duranki is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kentaro Miura, known for his acclaimed dark fantasy series Berserk. Duranki is a historical fantasy set in ancient times, incorporating elements of mythology and potentially focusing on themes of identity, survival, and societal structures.
The story revolves around a character who is half-human and half-animal, possessing a unique perspective and facing challenges related to their dual nature and the era in which they live. While specifics of the plot varied in the initial publication, the basic premise remained consistent. The manga was serialized in Young Animal Zero magazine.
Following Kentaro Miura's passing, Kouji Mori, a close friend and fellow manga artist, continued the series with Studio Gaga, the team that Miura had worked with on Berserk. The continuation is based on discussions and plans that Miura had shared with Mori. This continuation aims to stay true to Miura's original vision for the story.
