Dick van Dyke (politician)
Dick van Dyke (born December 13, 1936) is an American politician from Iowa. He served in the Iowa House of Representatives representing District 88 from 1989 to 2003, as a Republican.
Van Dyke was born in Osceola County, Iowa. He graduated from Sheldon High School and served in the United States Army. Before entering politics, he was a farmer and a businessman.
During his time in the Iowa House, Van Dyke served on several committees, including Agriculture, Appropriations, and Natural Resources. He was known for his conservative stance on fiscal issues and his support for agriculture.
After leaving the Iowa House, Van Dyke remained active in Republican politics. He has been involved in various agricultural organizations and continues to reside in Iowa.
